Souvenir large format “Lucky Penny” from the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. This is one of two or three primary designs that you will see, and perhaps the simplest of them. While somewhat common overall, due to the materials used, the heavy weight and their service as an inexpensive souvenir, these tend to often be well worn or damaged. This item is an exception, and is as Gem Mint Uncirculated as I have ever seen one. The Copper plating is complete except for a few tiny marks on the flat edge/rim, with no rim bumps or scratches. These are Copper-plated Zinc or White Metal alloy, and were artificially “antiqued” after plating.

The sails are hand painted with blue flowers. The thimble holder is made of metal circles attached to the main sail support – very good to excellent condition without chips cracks or damage.
